The 2021/22 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey Hobby Box continues the flagship lineup with a strong mix of rookie content, updated inserts, and hobby-exclusive hits. Each box delivers six Young Guns rookie cards, expanding the base set rookie lineup and offering collectors a chance at standout names including Moritz Seider, Lucas Raymond, Mason McTavish, Cole Perfetti, Quinton Byfield and several more top prospects. Series 2 also includes O-Pee-Chee Update cards, returning inserts and expanded versions of popular sets introduced in Series 1.

This release builds upon the first half of the flagship checklist by adding cards numbered 251 through 450, including veterans, new Young Guns, and updated player photography. Collectors can chase multiple base parallels such as Exclusives numbered to 100, High Gloss numbered to 10, French versions, and Clear Cut hobby-exclusive parallels. Series 2 continues staple insert lines like UD Canvas, Dazzlers, UD Portraits, and Honor Roll, all featuring fresh checklists and low-numbered parallel tiers. The return of Fluorescence, now with rookies and color variations numbered as low as 5, gives collectors another premium rookie chase.

Series 2 also introduces unique acetate and memorabilia options. Rookie Breakouts are numbered to 100 and feature striking die-cut acetate stock, while Rookie Materials and Rookie Threads Retro Patch cards offer jersey and patch content with parallels numbered as low as 15. New for this season is NHL Passages, an acetate set that highlights the career milestones of long-time NHL stars.
