The 2023/24 Upper Deck Engrained Hockey Hobby Box marks the long-awaited return of one of Upper Deck’s most unique premium brands. Known for its creative use of wood, metal, carbon fiber, and hard-signed autographs, Engrained delivers a collectible experience unlike anything else in the hobby. Each box includes two autograph, autograph-memorabilia, memorabilia, Carved in Time or ElectroCast cards, one Signature Shots card, one Synthesis or low-numbered base parallel, one numbered rookie from either 2023-24 or 2022-23, and one numbered veteran or legend. Select boxes may include a 7th bonus card.

This year’s 200-card base set covers star veterans, legends, and rookies from three draft classes—2023-24, 2022-23, and 2021-22, with each rookie class featuring its own distinct design. Parallels such as Mahogany (#’d to 10), White Birch (#’d to 20), Rosewood 1-of-1s, and multiple premium memorabilia versions add depth and rarity throughout the checklist. Engrained continues to showcase iconic hobby elements, including Signature Shots—featuring autographs on carbon-fiber stick pieces—and Carved in Time, a laser-engraved all-wood insert with signature variations available.

Collectors will also find all-metal ElectroCast cards with autograph versions signed in paint pen, plus an extensive lineup of game-used stick memorabilia such as Clutch Components, Complete Sticks, Distinguishing Marks, Stick Nameplates, Dual Nameplates, Tandem Twigs (#’d to 5), and more. The box also includes Synthesis inserts with Red and Blue parallels and autograph variations.
